Occupational Therapists specialize in creative and practical methods to assess and assist children in their everyday lives.  The origins of treatment for sensory processing disorder were developed by an Occupational Therapist, Jean Ayers, in the 1970s.  At Center for Therapeutic Intervention, our OTs have been specially trained to meet children at their level of ability and interest, and to help them to become interactive, rather than reactive, with their world.

Treatment not only benefits the identified need, but has a significant effect on a client’s self-confidence and sense of well-being.
